Privacy policy

When you create an account and use the Nexus, we store:

• Account details — email address, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — nobody, including us, can read it), full name, username, and date of birth (to verify you are 18+).
• Profile — the things you choose to add: photo, bio, links, gender, and your lineage.
• Activity — quiz results, forum posts and reactions, follows and blocks, reading/listening progress in the library, and when you were last active.
• Private messages — texts, voice notes, and photos you exchange with other members.
• Payment status — whether you have an active Portal membership. Card and bank details are handled entirely by our payment processor; they never reach our servers.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the site. Cookies are used only to keep you signed in.

To run the platform: showing your profile to other members, matching you with your lineage's spaces, remembering where you left off, processing your membership, and keeping the community safe. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers below.

• Other members see your username, display name, photo, bio, links, lineage, role, join date, gender icon (if set), and your public activity (posts, shares, follows — unless you hide your lists). Your email, birth date, and real activity times are never shown.
• Private messages are visible only to you and the person you're talking to — with one exception: if a conversation is reported, our moderation team can review it (including voice notes and photos) to enforce the community rules.
• Admins can see member account details (email, membership status) to run the platform and handle reports.

Data is stored with Supabase (database and file storage, hosted on AWS in the United States) and the site runs on Vercel. Both process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Payments will be processed by a dedicated payment provider acting as merchant of record.

As long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, messages, and files are removed from the live platform; short-lived backups expire on their own schedule.

• Edit or remove your profile details anytime in settings.
• Close your message inbox or hide your follow lists.
• Block members you don't want contact with.
• Delete your account entirely.
• Email us to request a copy of your data or its deletion — we'll act on it within 30 days.

The Nexus is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; such accounts are removed when found.
